Eligibility for Admission @ American College to Various Courses
Candidates should qualify under any of the following examinations for admission to HS Course:
- Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Examination, Government of Tamil Nadu.
- Candidates who have passed Senior School Certificate Examination (XII standard) of the CBSE with not less than five subjects of which English shall be one.
- Candidates who have passed ICS Examination of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination with not less than five subjects, of which English shall be one.
- Candidates who have passed any Examination conducted by a State Government or a University or Board under the 10+2 pattern with not less than five subjects, of which English shall be one.

- For B.Sc. Mathematics I Physics I Chemistry: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as subjects at the Higher Secondary level.
- For B.A. Economics, preference will be given to candidates with Mathematics as a subject at the Higher Secondary level.
- For B.Com., Commerce as a subject under the academic or vocational stream at the Higher Secondary level.
- For B.Sc. Zoology I B.Sc. Botany : Biology or Botany and Zoology as subjects at the Higher Secondary level.
- For B.A. Hindi: Hindi as Part-I Language at the Higher Secondary level/Visharadh Uttrarth of Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Saba.
- For B.Sc.Mathematics I Physics: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects at the Higher Secondary level.
- For B.Sc. Computer Science: Mathematics as a subjects at the Higher Secondary level.
