APSC Forest Ranger Recruitment Notice 2018 Details

Assam Public Service Commission invited Application from Indian citizens for the post of Forest Rangers in the Assam Forest Service under Environment & Forests Deptt., Assam in the pay scale of Pay Band 3 (PB-3), Rs 22000/- to 87000/- and Grade Pay Rs. 10300/. Willing Candidate of not less than 21 years or more than 43 years of age on the 1st January 2018 was eligible to apply. Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Science or Engineering of any recognized University with at least in one of the following subjects:-

  • Agriculture
  • Botany
  • Chemistry
  • Computer Applications / Computer Science
  • Engineering (Agriculture / Chemical / Civil / Computer / Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical)
  • Environmental Science
  • Forestry
  • Geology
  • Horticulture
  • Mathematics

  • Statistics
  • Veterinary Science
  • Zoology

APSC Forest Ranger Written Exam is the Main Selection Process

Candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear in a written examination after which they will be interviewed. Applicants in addition to this shall also have to qualify a walking Test covering a distance of 25 km / 16 km within 4 (four) hours on foot respectively.
