Eligibility of Assam Police Constable Recruitment 2020

  • Nationality: The applicant should be a citizen of India and an ordinary resident of Assam.

Age Limit as on 1st July 2019

Candidates should be between 18 to 25 years as on 1st July 2019. Upper Age limit for reserved categories of the applicant is-

  • 5 Years for SC/ST Candidates.
  • 3 Years for OBC/MOBC candidates.
  • Additional 3 Years for trained Home Guards/members of VDPs (registered) who have served for a period of 3 years or more.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should have the following under mentioned educational qualification to apply for the post.

  • For Unarmed Branch: Candidates should have passed H.S. or Class XII passed from a recognized Board.
  • For Armed Branch: Candidates should have passed S.L.C or Class-X passed from a recognized Board or Council.

Medical Standard for Constable Posts

The distant vision of the applicants should be 6/6 for at least one eye while candidates should not have the undermentioned medical conditions to apply for the post –

  • Flat fee.
  • Squint eye.
  • Colour blindness
  • Physical deformities.
  • Diabetes, Hernia, Piles and Respiratory Diseases.
  • Near vision should be normal.
