A student who want to enroll in Coochbehar College for B.A./ B.Com/ B.Sc/ BBA/ BBM. three years degree course (Honours / Program) should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination from the recognized board (10+2) Pattern or an Examination recognized as equivalent by the University provided he/she has passed in at least four subjects excluding environmental studies with English as a compulsory subject.
| For Honors Subject Admission: | Students should have obtained either – 55% marks in the aggregate or 50 % marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying examinations shall be eligible to apply for admission to Honours in the subject concerned in general categories. |
| For General Course | 10+2 Exam Passed in relevant branch. |
However, the above criterion is reduced for SC/ST categories willing to take admission for Honors Course at the College to
- 50% marks in the aggregate or
- 45% marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying examinations

Coochbehar College Merit List 2023 Calculation Process
Admission to all Honours Course in Coochbehar will be based strictly on merit. Merit shall be calculated as per the following formula.
Merit= (2S+T)/6
Here, T = Aggregate = marks obtained in English + marks obtained in the subject opted for
Honours + best marks of other two subjects. [Excluding EVS, the subject opted for Honours and English]. S= marks obtained in the subject opted for Honours.
If the candidate does not have the specific subject opted for Honours in his / her previous Course, the procedure for Merit Calculation will be as follows,
Merit =T1/4
Here, T1=marks obtained in English+ best of other three subjects excluding EVS.
Please note that this procedure is also applicable in case of General Course Admission.
