About Derozio Memorial College, Rajarhat

Derozio Memorial College is a General Degree College in Rajarhat of West Bengal. The College was established in the year 1996 and it is a NAAC B++ Accredited College. Affiliated to the West Bengal State University, the College offers Under Graduate Courses in Arts, Commerce and Science Stream.

Admission Rules in Derozio Memorial College

Under the CBCS System of Learning, the Undergraduate Courses are divided into Six Semesters, and the candidates should take the admission on a semester basis. A candidate taking up Honours Course in a subject must have obtained:

A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate (best of 4, excluding ENVS) and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination Best of 4 and excluding ENVS).

OR

55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.

OR

50% marks in the aggregate (best of 4, excluding ENVS) when the candidate has not studied the subject in his/her previous qualifying examination provided all the other clauses are satisfied.

However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe Community taking up Honours Course of study must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate and 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be.

Candidates (all categories) taking General course must obtain pass marks (best of 4, excluding ENVS) in the previous qualifying examination.
