Food Corporation of India after a long time is conducting a recruitment drive to fill up the vacancies of watchmen in its depots in Gujarat Region. The post requires the minimum education qualification as per the released notification; additionally, there is a certain standard of medical fitness which must be fulfilled to get selected for the post. Here, the total number of vacancies to be fulfilled is 107. The break-up of the vacancies are given below:

The post is been classified as Class IV posts as per FCI rules and shall carry a pay scale of Rs. 8100/- to Rs. 18070/- . Selected candidates shall also be entitled to other allowances as per Organization norms. Other eligibility conditions are:

Age Criteria: Candidates should be between 18 yrs to 25 years. Age relaxation is as follows

• 3 years for OBC Candidates.
• 5 years for SC/ST Candidates.
• 10 years for PwD Candidates of UR Candidates.
• 13 years for PwD Candidates of OBC Candidates.
• 15 years for PwD Candidates of SC/ST Candidates.

Minimum Educational Qualification: Candidates should have at least passed the 8^th Standard Examination from any Govt. Recognized Body.

Please note that these criteria shall be reckoned on 01-12-2017.

EyeSight Standard:

As per the notification, the post has medical standards. The prescribed medical eyesight standard as per official notification is as under

Visual Acuity unaided (Near Vision)

• Better Eye: N6
• Worse Eye: N9

Uncorrected Visual Acuity (Distant Vision)

• Better Eye: 6/6
• Worse Eye: 6/9

Refraction: Visual correction of any kind is not permitted even by glasses.

Colour Vision: CP-III by ISHIHARA

Remarks: In right-handed person, the Right eye is better eye and vice versa. Binocular vision is required.

FCI Watchmen Recruitment in Gujarat Region| Selection Process and Syllabus[su_divider top=”no” size=”1″ margin=”5″]

Here, we are sharing the selection process of the post. As per the official notification, the selection process of the watchmen recruitment shall consist of a two-step process. The first step is the written exam and the second process is the Physical Endurance Test. Both the process is elaborated below:

Written Exam: The written exam shall consist of 120 multiple type questions to be completed in 120 minutes. The exam will be offline based and the question paper will be in three languages namely Hindi, English, and Gujarati. Each question will be allotted one marks and there will be a negative mark of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer attempted. The syllabus of the examination shall consist of the following subjects:

• Quantitative Aptitude
• Reasoning
• General Awareness
• General English and General Hindi.
