Gauhati University PG Selection Criteria
You all must know how the University Prepares the Selection List of the candidates for PG Course. Well as per the admission notice, Gauhati University prepares the PG Merit List on the basis of –
- 60% weightage will be on UG marks/qualifying examination marks while 40% weightage will be Entrance Test marks for GU students applying to traditional courses against the seats reserved exclusively for them.
- The selection of students for admission into interdisciplinary programs of study will be on the basis of entrance test only. This also applies to other University students applying to any Course.
Please note that: 50% of seats in traditional programmes of study are exclusively reserved for GU students while they can also compete for the remaining 50% seats. But all interdisciplinary seats are open to all students irrespective of any university.
