PD Women’s College Offered Subject Combination in BA & B.Sc Course

PD Women’s College allows the below mentioned subject combination in BA & BSC (Honors & Pass) Courses. Hence go through this to submit the application form.

Subjects for B.A. Part I & II General Course

Candidates seeking admission in B.A. Part I & II General Course must choose three different electives from the following-

• (Geography / Sanskrit/ Elective Bengali / Elective English), (Geography / Philosophy), (Economics /Sanskrit / Elective Bengali / Elective English), (Political Science / Education), History, Physical Education.

It is to be noted that Students opting for Geography must choose Economics and one other subject from the given alternatives.

Subject for B.A. Part I & II Honors Courses

• Honors in B.A. Courses: two papers in part I & two more in Part II
• Any two elective subjects from the following (three papers of 50 marks each) in both Part I & II (Honors subject cannot be an elective subject)
• (Sanskrit / Elective Bengali / Elective English / Geography), (Geography / Philosophy), Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics / Sanskrit / Elective Bengali / Elective English, (Political Science / Education), History.

Permissible Combination of General Subjects for B.A. Honours Course in PD Women’s College

PD Women’s College- Subject for B.Sc. Part I & II General Courses

• For Pure-Science Group: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry / Computer Science
• For Bio-Science Group: Botany, Zoology, Chemistry.

Permissible Combination of General Subjects for Part I & II B.Sc. Honors Course in PD Women’s College:

Subjects for B.A. / B.Sc. Part – III General Courses

• One Paper of each of the combination subject studied in Part – I & II.

Subjects for B.A. / B.Sc. Part – III Honours Courses

• Four Papers of the Honours subject studied in Part – I & II.

Along with Honours and two general subjects in the Honours Course or three general subjects in General Course, the students have to study in a compulsory paper in each year. In Part I, students have to learn Environmental Studies. In Part II, students’ have to study Compulsory English and in Part III, students have to learn one of the Major Indian Languages (MIL): (Bengali – taught in college) or (Hindi / Nepali / Urdu ).
