Selection Process for SEBI Officer Grade A Posts
Security Exchange Board of India Recruitment Cell will shortlist the candidates through three stages. Actually the Mode of selection shall be a three stage process –
- Phase I (on-line screening examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each)
- Phase II (on-line examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each) and
- Interview or Phase III.
The Phase I Test will be an screening test while the selection for the post will be on the basis of Phase II Online Test and Phase II Interview with Weightage of marks obtained in Phase II will be 85%, while marks obtained in interview shall be given a weightage of 15%.

Phase I On-Line Examination
The Phase I On-Line Examination is an online screening examination consisting of two papers (Multiple Choice questions of 100 marks each). The exam will consist of –

- There shall be negative marking (1/4th of marks assigned to the question) for the Paper 1 and Paper 2 in Phase I.
- Marks obtained in Phase I shall be used only for shortlisting the candidates for Phase II examination process and will not be counted for final selection of the candidates.
Phase II On-Line Examination
The SEBI Grade A Phase II Online Examination will be an on-line examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each will be held on May 03, 2020. The papers shall be as follows:

- There shall be negative marking (1/4th of marks assigned to the question) for Paper 2 in Phase II (except IT stream for which details shall be informed in due course).
- Candidates with an weightage of 1/3rd for Paper 1 and 2/3rd for Paper 2 shall be shortlisted for Phase III.
- Candidates equaling 3 times the number of vacancies shall be shortlisted, in order of merit, for Phase III i.e. the Interview.

Release of SEBI Grade A Officer Hall Ticket / Online
For each of the stage of recruitment test, SEBI will issue the Hall Ticket to the candidates. The release of this hall ticket will be only through the Recruitment Portal of SEBI. Thus the candidate needs to visit the official website to download the SEBI Grade A Officer Admit Card 2020. To download the SEBI Gr A Officer Admit Card for each of the stages, the aspirants should login to the call letter page with the Registration ID and Password. Thereafter the admit card will be accessible. Candidates can download and take a print of it for the online test.
After the Admit Card Download, candidate needs to affix recent recognizable photograph on the call letter which should be the same as provided during registration. Also at the exam centre, the candidates should bring with the following as under –
- Call Letter
- Original Photo Identity Proof as specified in the call letter and
- Photocopy of the same Photo Identity Proof as brought in original.
