Syamsundar College Merit List 2022: As per Govt. order of the Higher Education Dept. of West Bengal and order of the University of Burdwan, Syamsundar College has started the process for admission into B.A. /B.Sc. /B. Com Honours & General courses of 2022 – 23 academic session from 18th July 2022. Syamsundar College Merit List Calculation Process
Although a large number of applicants submit the online application for admission to Syamsundar College, but very few candidates are well aware of the merit list calculation process. So, here the Syamsundar College Merit List Calculation Process is discussed for both the Honours and General Degree Courses. We hope this will make the process clear to all of the aspirants.
For Honours Courses
- For five or more subjects in H.S. or equivalent: Merit point = Marks of Best of 5 subjects (excluding ENVS) + Marks of Subject for which Honours is chosen.
- For one language and three subjects in H.S. or equivalent: Merit point = 2 x Marks of Language + Marks of 3 subjects (excluding ENVS) + Marks of Subject for which Honours is chosen.
- For Botany/Zoology/Environmental Science Honours: Marks of Biology should be considered as marks of the subject.
- If the concerned Honours subject is not available in H.S.: Consider the marks of language (Highest amongst all languages) as marks of the subject.
- If Environmental Science is a Compulsory/Optional Elective subject it may be considered within 5 concerned subjects
For General Courses
- For five or more subjects H.S. or equivalent: Merit point = Marks of Best of 5 subjects (excluding ENVS)
- For one language and three subjects in H.S. or equivalent: Merit point = 2 x Marks of Language + Marks of 3 subjects (excluding ENVS)

Tie Breaker in Merit Calculation
After going through the above calculation process, if there is a tie of merit between two or more applicants then Syamsundar College will adopt the following method to shortlist the applicants.
