About Tezpur College, Assam
Tezpur College is one of the premier colleges of Assam. The College came in to existence in the year 1965 due to untiring efforts of Late Dulal Chandra Bhattacharjee, a doyen of teaching and legal community of Assam. He was also the founder president of the college. The College started as an evening college for the benefit of poor students and housed in Tezpur Academy. Later the College was shifted to the present site on the flank of the famous picturesque hillock of Agnigarh in 1968.
