Eligibility for Admission to Undergraduate Courses
Candidates should have passed ALL the subjects in Academic stream of the Qualifying Examination with 10+2 years are eligible (based on the subject eligibility) for the degree programs.
Eligible Minimum Qualifying Marks (Academic Stream / Vocational Stream)

TNAU UG Rank List Preparation Method
To prepare the UG Admission Rank List 2022, TNAU shall calculate the aggregate marks of the candidates. As per the University Admission Norms, Ranking Procedure & Aggregate Marks Details are as follows –
Tie Breaker in TNAU Merit List 2022
In cases where more than one student has got the same aggregate marks in the common merit list, the tie-breaker in calculation merit among such students shall be determined in the order of priority as specified below:
- Marks out of 50 in Mathematics. If a student has not studied Mathematics, marks out of 50 in Biology or (Botany + Zoology)
- Marks out of 50 in Physics
- Marks out of 50 in Chemistry
- Date of Birth – Eldest first

Whats Next After TNAU Rank List 2022
After the release of the TNAU Rank List 2022, the candidates can choose the college and degree course based on their rank through Online Counselling. This system of Online Counselling will be applicable for all degree colleges. After the release of rank list, candidates shortlisted will be informed through SMS and e-mail. The ratio of ‘number of vacant seats’: ‘number of candidates shortlisted for counselling’ will be normally 1:5.
Shortlisted candidates will thereafter have to pay the prescribed non-refundable fee to appear for the counselling. During online counselling, the candidate is permitted to change the order of preference for Degree and College ONLY ONCE. On the expiry of online counselling date of the respective phase, the degree and college allotment will be done based on the choice exercised by the candidate, merit and communal reservations.
TNAU UG Allotment Letter
Candidates shall get the information of the allotment through SMS and e-mail, also this will be available on the TNAU website. Along with this, they will also get the detailed instructions on Admission fee payment, downloading of TNAU UG Allotment letter and documents required for verification through registered email.
NOTE: The candidates registered (Counseling fee paid) for online counselling and did not get any seat allotment, will be considered for the subsequent sliding process if any vacancy arises.
