UP Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2021 Details
One of the Largest Competitive Recruitment Examination in entire Northern India is UPTET. Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is one such Exam passing of which makes the candidates eligible to become school teacher of Govt Schools across the State of UP. Since Uttar Pradesh conducts every year UPTET with a huge vacancy, so Job aspirants dream to become a Govt. School Teacher prepare for this Exam every year. UPBEB (Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board ) has the responsibility to conduct this State Level Test to select the right candidates for School Teacher Posts. What is the Eligibility Criteria to apply UPTET 2021?
Aspirants who have earlier applied and also the freshers who are applying for the first time can go through the eligibility details of UPTET before submitting the application online. Also, ensure to have satisfied the eligibility conditions as per Official Notification.
Age Limit Criteria of Uttar Pradesh TET
Age of the interested applicants should be 18 Years to 35 Years. Age Relaxation for reserved categories of applicants will be implemented as per UP Govt. Order. Category wise relaxed Upper Age Limit will be as under-
- OBC Candidates – 38 Years
- SC/ST Candidates – 40 Years
- PWD Candidates – 45 Years
Essential Educational Qualification Details
Since UPTET 2021 is for two categories of Posts – Primary Level Teacher & Upper Primary Level Teacher. So Educational Qualification Requirements of both the Posts are available in two separate section. Hope this will help the applicants to get a clear idea of eligibility details.

Educational & Skill Requirements for Primary (1 to 5) Teacher Posts
- Applicant should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the intermediate examination.
- Applicants who completed their graduation or those who are studying in the 2nd year of BTC/ passed in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
- Applicants who completed their graduation or those who are studying in final year of D.Ed (Specialization) in an institute recognized by RCI.
- Applicants who completed their graduation or those who are studying in the 2nd year of BTC (Urdu)/ passed in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
- Applicants who completed their graduation or those who are in final year/ passed Diploma in Teaching from Aligarh Muslim University.
- For Urdu Teaching Posts: Applicants who have completed their graduation or those who are Moa’llim-e-Urdu degree holders from Aligarh Muslim University before August 11, 1997.
- Applicants who are currently studying in the final year B.EL.ED.
Educational & Skill Requirements for Upper Primary (6 to 8) Teacher Posts
- Applicant should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the intermediate examination.
- Applicants who completed their graduation or those who are studying in the 2nd year of BTC in an institute affiliated to NCTE
- Applicants who completed their graduation/ post-graduation with a minimum of 50% marks or those who have passed or currently studying in 2nd year of B.Ed in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
- Applicants who completed their graduation/ post-graduation with a minimum of 50% marks or those who have passed or currently studying in 2nd year of L.T. in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
- Applicants who completed their graduation/ post-graduation with a minimum of 50% marks or those who have passed or currently studying in 2nd year of B.Ed (Specialization) in an institute affiliated to RCI.
- Applicants who have scored 50% marks in intermediate and who are currently studying in the final year or passed B.Ed.
- Applicants who are studying in the final year or passed B.Sc.Ed.
- Applicants who are studying in the final year or passed B.EL.Ed.
How to Submit Online Application for UPTET 2021?
Interested Applicants for UPTET 2021 should only apply through Official Webportal of UPBEB. Only Online Application will be accepted by the department. Online Application shall be available from March to April 2021. So apply as soon as possible to avoid any last minute hassle. While submitting the application, applicants shall have to remit the applicable Applicaiton Fees as per the Notification.
