About West Bengal Legal Service Examination 2018
West Bengal Legal Service Examination is a competitive annual examination conducted by West Bengal PSC. Candidates selected through this test will be posted as a legal officer in various departments of WB Govt. The Examination shall have two parts – Written Examination & Interview / Personality Test. Emoluments of the Posts is as under-
Pay Scale of the Post – (PB-4A) Rs.15,600-42,000/- + Grade Pay of Rs.5,400/- besides D.A., M.A. & H.R.A. admissible as per rules.

Age Limit to Apply
Candidates age should be between 23 years to 36 Years as on 1st January 2018. Upper Age Limit relaxed as under –

While SC, ST and BC candidates of other States may apply for unreserved vacancies as General candidates.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should be a degree in Law from a recognized university. Also, applicants should have the knowledge of reading, speaking and writing in Bengali ( Not required for candidates whose mother tongue is not Bengali)
