Selection Process of WBPSC Fire Operator Recruitment 2018
West Bengal Fire Operator Recruitment 2018 Selection Process shall have the following under mentioned stages which are to be conducted by PSC West Bengal.
- Written examination
- Physical Measurement Test
- Physical Endurance Test and
- Personality Test
Exam Pattern of Written Examination
Written Exam will be in offline mode. Exam Pattern of Written Exam is depicted through a table below as under-

Physical Measurement Test Details
Candidates who clear the Written Test shall be called for PMT as per the standard of the PSC West Bengal Notification. Details of Physical Measurement Test is as under

| Candidates of all categories (except Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbansis and Other Hill Tribes) | 5’6” or 167.6 cms | 32” or 81.3 cms. with the expansion of 2” or 5 cms. |
| Candidates of Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbansis and Other Hill Tribes | 5’3” or 160 cms | 81.3 cms. with the expansion of 2” or 5 cms. |
Physical Endurance Test Details
Candidates after the PMT shall have to qualify in the Physical Endurance Test (PET) as under-
- 1000 meter run within 5 minutes;
- Ladder climbing within 20 seconds;
- Lifting and carrying of sandbag weighing 63.5 kg continuously for a minimum of 50 meters;
- Run up three stories of the standard staircase within 1 minute;
- Rope climbing using only hands within 60 seconds;
- High Jump 1.22 meter or more.
Personality Test Details
Final Stage of the Selection Process of WB Fire Operator is the Personality Test which will be conducted by PSC to ascertain the suitability of the candidates. Questions may be from different spheres like current affairs, Facts & Information on Wes Bengal, Sports etc.
