Admission to AIIMS New Delhi & 8 Others AIIMS across the country for the Nursing and Paramedical Courses is based on the Entrance Result. The allocation of different disciplines will be on merit basis & by online Seat Allocation. In each category, the number of candidates called for online Seat Allocation will be 4 times the number of seats. The order of online Seat Allocation will be General/ EWS/OBC (NCL)/ SC/ST. While preparing the AIIMS Nursing Merit List 2021, the Exam Authority will shortlist the candidates according to their rank in the test result.
Thereafter, the AIIMS Admission Authority will conclude the Seat Allocation Process strictly by combined merit list starting from Rank No.1. The candidates in order of merit will exercise their choice of subject according to availability of seats. AIIMS Nursing / Paramedical Entrance Result 2021 Mode
After AIIMS conducted the Test, the board will release the list of shortlisted candidates on the official website at www.aiimsexams.ac.in. In addition, the shortlisted candidates shall also get the update in the registered email / sms alert in the registered mobile number. Please, note that AIIMS will not send any separate call letter by post. Tie Breaker in AIIMS Nursing / Paramedical Merit List / Results
As discussed above, the admission in AIIMS Nursing and Paramedical Courses is entirely on the basis of performance of candidates at the Entrance Examination. Thus, while the Entrance Conducting Authority prepares the merit list, there may be a tie among the candidates. Method of Resolving Ties for BSc (H) Nursing & all Paramedical Courses
In case of two or more candidates belonging to the same category obtaining equal marks in the entrance examination, their inter se merit will be determined in order of preference as under:
- The candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology (or Mathematics, in the case of Para-Medical courses) in the entrance examination.
- Candidates obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the entrance examination.
- Candidates obtaining higher marks in Physics in the entrance examination.
- Older aged candidate older will be preferred.
Method of Resolving Ties for BSc Nursing ( Post Basic) Course
The Admission to BSc Nursing ( Post Basic) Course will be made on the basis of the aggregate marks secured by candidates in Stage-I ( Written Exam ) & Stage-II ( Interview ). Now, in case of two or more candidates securing equal marks in all the 2 stages combined, their inter se merit will be determined in order of preference as under : –
- Candidates securing higher marks in Written Test (Stage-I)
- Candidates older in age to be preferred
AIIMS Nursing & Paramedical Online Seat Allocation
After the AIIMS Nursing / Paramedical Merit List / Result releases, the online seat allocation starts. The Seat Allocation for admission in various BSc courses shall be held in Online Mode details of which shall
be available on website www.aiimsexams.ac.in. During the online AIIMS Nursing / Paramedical Seat Allocation, the candidates in order of merit will exercise their choice of subject according to availability of seats. In general, the AIIMS Nursing / Paramedical Seat Allocation Process shall have three rounds. This is discussed as under –
First and Second Round Seat Allocation
In this rounds, AIIMS will shortlist the candidates from all categories; the number of candidates for Seat Allocation will be 4 times the number of seats available for various categories for BSC Courses ( Nursing & Paramedical ). The order of Seat Allocation will be General/ EWS/ OBC (NCL)/SC /ST. Post the candidates exercise the option and preference, the Seat Allocation will be done strictly by combined merit list starting from Rank No. 1.
Final Round of Seat Allocation
AIIMS will conduct the Nursing / Paramedical Final Open Round of Seat Allocation in Physical form. In case, during the open Seat Allocation any ST Seat remains vacant (after calling all eligible candidates of ST category) then this vacant seat shall be made available SC category candidate and vice versa and even after doing this, if any SC/ST seat remains vacant (after calling all eligible candidates of SC/ST category) then this vacant seat shall be made available to the eligible General Category candidate. Similarly, in case of the OBC (NCL)/EWS seat remains vacant after calling all eligible OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates then this vacant OBC (NCL)/EWS seat shall be made available to the eligible General category candidate.
AIIMS Nursing / Paramedical Spot Seat Allocation
Even after the first, second and final round seat allocation, if seats are vacant, then AIIMS will fill the seats through Spot Seat Allocation. AIIMS Nursing / Paramedical Spot Seat Allocation will be held at the respective AIIMS separately & information will be given in newspaper & will also be displayed on website of respective AIIMS.
Seat Reservation Rules in AIIMS
For admission to any of AIIMS and for any of the Nursing and Paramedical Courses, the seats at AIIMS will be filled following the reservation rules as per GOI directives:
- Other Backward Class – 27%
- Scheduled Caste – 15%
- Scheduled Tribe – 7.5%
- Economically Weaker Section – 10%
