After the UPCET 2021 Result, based on performance of the candidates in UPCET-2021, separate merit lists will be prepared for each course. NTA will prepare the Merit List as per the criteria specified and handed over to AKTU / MMMUT and other respective Universities. Thus, aspirants should be ready to check the list with their Registration ID and Application Form details.
Tie Breaking Rules in UPCET 2021 Merit List
NTA in case two or more candidates secure equal marks, shall determine the inter-se-merit of such candidates through the following rules in sequence –
- Firstly, by the percentage of incorrect answers given. A candidate having lesser percentage of incorrect answers will be placed at higher merit.
- Secondly, the tie breaking rules according to the courses are as under –
| MCA (Integrated) | By the marks obtained in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Accountancy, followed by marks obtained in Logical Reasoning respectively and then by age – Candidate with higher age will be placed at higher merit. |
| B.Pharm | By marks obtained in Biology, Chemistry sections respectively and then by age – Candidate with higher age will be placed at higher merit. |
| BBA,/ B.Des/ BHMCT/ BFAD/ BFA/ B.Voc/ MBA/ MCA/ Lateral entry/ MBA(Integrated)/ M. Tech/ M. Sc. | By age only – Candidate with higher age will be placed at higher merit. |
- Thirdly, by the application number, that is the lowest application number will be placed higher in the merit.
