2nd State Level Teachers’ Selection Test (AT) (WB SLTST) – 2022 Overview
WBSSC or West Bengal School Service Commission will hold selection test (SLTST) for the post of Assistant Teachers in recognized Santhali Medium non-Govt. aided/ sponsored Junior High / Secondary /Higher Secondary Schools in West Bengal. The Test will be conducted as per new recruitment rules of 2019 against the vacancies in Santhali Medium Schools.

Categorisation of Teacher Posts in 2nd WBSSC SLTST 2022
As per the official released notification of WBSSC SLTST 2022, the posts of teachers are categorised into four groups. The Groups are as under –

Eligibility Criteria for WB SLTST 2022
The aspirants who intend to appear for the WB SLTST 2022 must possess the eligibility as per the notifications. The applicant must possess the minimum qualification, as prescribed by the NCTE on the date of the Advertisement. The Age Limit and Educational Qualification for the post of different groups of school teacher is available here for the aspirants.

| For Assistant Teacher for Upper Primary Level in Schools- (Group – 1) | Graduation and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education ( by whatever name known) OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1 Year Bachelor in Education. OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1 Year Bachelor in Education. OR Senior Secondary or its equivalent with 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education ( B.El. Ed). OR Senior Secondary or its equivalent with 50% marks and 4 year BA /BSc BEd or BA Ed / BSc Ed. OR Graduation with 50% marks and 1 Year Bed ( Special Education ) AND Pass in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the Govt as per NCTE Guidelines. |

Note (1)- The candidates possessing minimum qualification as prescribed by the NCTE for appearing in TET but not holding the minimum qualification as prescribed by NCTE for the post of Upper Primary Teacher as stated in para (b) above may appear in the TET as described in Sl.No. 1 of Schedule B of Rule 5, if otherwise eligible, but shall not be considered for selection through subsequent stages of the ongoing recruitment process.
Note (3) – The candidates who are pursuing the Teachers Training courses but do not have the required minimum qualification at a time of last date of submission of application, may be issued admit card for TET only and he /she shall not be considered for further stage of selection.
Note (3) — A candidate willing to be selected as a Teacher in any School must have the specific subject of the medium of instruction of the School as first or second or third language at any of the Secondary or Higher Secondary or Graduation/ Post Graduation level as elective or optional subject.
Age Limit to Apply
Minimum 21 years and maximum 40 years as on 1st January 2022. The Upper age limit is however relaxable as per Government norms for Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe, OBC and Physically Handicapped candidates. Also, the Upper age limit for para teachers of Upper Primary Level of Government, Govt. aided and sponsored schools shall be applicable as per Govt Notification in force.
How to Apply for WBSSC 2nd SLTST 2022 Notification ?
Candidates can apply online by accessing the official website of The West Bengal School Service Commission (i.e. http://www.wbsschelpdesk.com) and then feeding his/her personal and educational information as required by the Commission. During the application, after the uploading the details on the Commission the candidates shall get Bank Challan (Cash Challan) of Indian Bank for remittance of application fees. The applicants can deposit the Fees after 24 hours of submission of online application form.
After the payment of the application fees, the applicants can check the payment status after 48 hours of cash deposit. All the applicants should retain the sealed & signed Challan copy of the bank for future reference.
