SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2023

Selection Process of SSC Steno Examination is through Computer Based Test and Skill Test. Therefore the Computer Based Test will be given much priority in selecting the right candidate. SSC Steno Computer Based Exam Pattern / Scheme

The SSC Stenographer CBT / CBE will have objective type multiple choice question. Questions in the CBT will be set in Hindi and English. However, the English part of the examination will be in English itself. The total time duration of the examination will be 2 (two) hours. Total there will be 200 questions each carrying 1 marks. But candidates should be very cautious in answering the question as there will be negative marks of .25 for each wrong answer. Skill Test of SSC Stenographer Examination

CBT qualified candidates shall have to appear for skill test. The skill test will be of qualifying nature and SSC will fix the minimum qualifying marks according to the categories of the applicant. For Stenographer grade C posts, candidates will be given one Dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi at the speed of 100WPM. And for Stenographer Grade D post, the dictation will be at 80 WPM (Words per Minute). The transcription time according to post is given below –
