EPFO Assistant Recruitment 2019 Selection Process

Although 280 Posts of Assistants was announced, yet it is very large recruitment from a candidates point of view. So here is the Selection Process involved in this vacancy announcement –

Phase –I is qualifying in nature and marks will not be reckoned for final merit. While the marks obtained in Phase – II will be considered for final selection. Now let us check the exam pattern details.

EPFO Assistant Exam Pattern – Preliminary & Main

Exam Pattern of both stages will help you all to get an overview of topics, marks distribution and mark distribution.

• Phase I – Preliminary Examination Pattern

Phase –I Exam is qualifying in nature and marks will not be reckoned for final merit. For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of one-fourth of the mark assigned to that question. Based on the performance in Phase I , candidates will be shortlisted for Phase-II in the ratio of 1:10 i.e. about 10 times the number of vacancies in each category. • Phase II – Main Examination Pattern

EPFO Assistant Main Examination will be in two-part – objective and descriptive. Both of the Test will be purely online. The descriptive paper will also be completed online, i.e. the questions will be displayed on the screen and the candidates will have to type the answers using a keyboard. This paper will be conducted online immediately after completion of the online objective test of Phase-II Main Examination. For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of one-fourth of the mark assigned to that question. Tabular view of Phase II Exam is as under –

Candidates will have to visit the EPFO’s website for downloading call letters for online test. Although, intimation for downloading call letter will also be sent through email/SMS. On visiting the official page, candidates should click the admit card link. Once the candidate clicks the relevant link, he/she can access the window for EPFO Assistant Admit Card download. At this stage, the applied candidate needs

• Registration Number / Roll Number,

• Password / Date of Birth

for downloading the call letter. After the EPFO Assistant Admit Card download, Candidate needs to affix recent recognizable photograph on the call letter preferably the same as provided during registration and appear at the examination center with

At the applied contenders should bring the call letter along with original and a photocopy of the candidate’s currently valid photo identity (bearing exactly the same name as it appears on the call letter). List of valid documents are –

• Voter’s ID Card

• Bank Passbook with a photograph

• Photo identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer on official letterhead along with a photograph

• Valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognized College / University

• Aadhar card

• E-Aadhar Card with a photograph

• Employee ID

• Bar Council Identity Card with a photograph
