JEECUP 2021 or Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic) – 2021 is announced by Joint Entrance Examination Council. This is a state-level entrance test based on which the candidates will be eligible for admission to Diploma Engineering & Management Programmes. As per the UP State Higher Education Rules, the admission criteria to Diploma /Post Diploma/ Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering, Technology and Management Programs in Polytechnic Institutions affiliated to Board of Technical Education UP shall include the performance in the Joint Entrance Examination, UPJEE (POLYTECHNIC) – 2021. About JEECUP 2021

JEECUP 2021, in general, has 18 Groups of Examination which is subdivided according to the courses. The willing candidates during the application shall have to select the Group for which he/she wants to appear. Each of the Groups is assigned a name for identification. The details of the Group are discussed below. Now as per the official notification, the Papers of UPJEE (POLYTECHNIC) for Group A, E1 and E2 will be conducted in Offline mode only. The Papers of rest Groups i.e. B, C, D, F, G, H, I, K1, K2, K3, K4, K5, K6, K7 and K8 will be conducted in ONLINE mode in selected districts of the UP State.

Eligibility for Appearing in JEECUP 2021

Age Limit Criteria: To appear for UPJEE (Polytechnic) 2021 there is no Upper Age Limit; however the candidates should have attained the age of 14 Years as on 1st July 2021.

Seats Reservation Guidelines in JEECUP

As per UP Government rules candidates belonging to certain categories are admitted to seats reserved for them based on relaxed criteria. These categories are:

A. Vertical Reservations:

  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of General Category – 10%
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC) if they belong to Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) – 27%
  • Scheduled Castes (SC) – 21%
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST) – 2%

B. Horizontal Reservations:

  • Persons with Disability (PwD) (minimum 40% disability) – 5%
  • Freedom Fighter – 2%
  • Ward of Military personnel – 5%
  • Female Candidate – 20%

Note: “VIMUKT JATIYAN” shall not get any benefit of reservation as Schedule Tribes (ST) in admission.

JEECUP 2021 Online Application Process

The willing students who want to appear for UPJEE (POLYTECHNIC) 2021 must register and sit for the entrance test. As based on the rank list or scorecard of this test, the candidates can get admission to the desired courses. The online registration link is active from 26th February 2021. Steps to Apply for UPJEE ( POLYTECHNIC) 2021

  1. Register to the UPJEE Official website with Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Contact Details, identification document/ number and Password, Security Answer etc.
  2. Now, fill domicile, category, subcategory, group, exam centre choices and minimum qualifying examination details etc.
  3. Upload photograph and signature as per the specification of the notice.
  4. Proceed for payment through net banking/Debit card/Credit card/e-challan of the available bank.
  5. Take a printout of payment confirmation.
  6. Finally, take a hard copy of the application for the record.
