West Bengal Forest & Subordinate Forest Service Examination 2021
West Bengal Forest Service and West Bengal Sub-ordinate Forest Service Examination, 2021 shall be conducted by PSC West Bengal in accordance with the rules as applicable for WBFS & WBSFS. The Examination will be held in three stages namely-
- Preliminary Examination (Objective-MCQ Type),
- Main Examination (Conventional Type-Written) and
- Personality Test

Scale of Pay
- Pay for WBFS: Rs.15,600-42,000/- with Grade Pay of Rs.5,400/- and other allowances as per rules.
- Pay for WBSFS: Rs.7,100-37,600 with Grade Pay of Rs.3,900/- and other allowances as per rules.

Eligibility to Appear for WBFS & WBSFS Examination 2021
WBFS & WBSFS Examination eligibility has the following conditions as per the released Notification from Public Service Commission, West Bengal. Every candidate interested to submit the online application should check the particulars as discussed below and apply after complying with the eligibility rules of West Bengal Forest Service Examination 2018.
Age Criteria to Apply:
- For West Bengal Forest Service: Candidate should be between 21 to 36 years of age as on 1st January 2021.
- For West Bengal Subordinate Forest Service: Candidate should be between 21 to 39 years of age as on 1st January 2021.
Age relaxation shall be 5 years for SC & ST Candidates and by 3 years for BC candidates (Non-Creamy Layer) of West Bengal.
Minimum Educational Qualification
| For West Bengal Forest Service | Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Science or Engineering of any recognized University or Institute with at least one of the following subjects : Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Application, Computer Science, Engineering (Agricultural, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical), Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology and Environmental Science |
| For West Bengal Subordinate Forest Service | Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering of any recognized Indian University or Institute with at least one of the following subjects : Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Application, Computer Science, Engineering (Agricultural, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical), Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology and Environmental Science. |
In addition to this, candidates should be able to read, write and speak in Bengali [not required for those whose mother tongue is not Bengali].
WB Forest Service Exam Physical Fitness Standard
Willing applicants should meet the physical standard to appear for WBFS Exam 2018. Details of the Physical Standard Requirements are as under-
