Instructions to the WBSET 2022 – 23 Exam Participants
- Candidates must read the instructions in the Test Booklet carefully.
- Students will be given an OMR Sheet in order to answer the question..
- Cross check and verify your personal data printed on the OMR Sheet.
- Candidates can use only Black or Blue ballpoint pen for darkening correct answers on the sheet.
- Hand over the OMR sheet to the Invigilator after the completion of the exam.
- Aspirants should report at the Examination Center at least one hour before the actual time.
- No candidate must leave the Exam hall until the completion of the test.
- Use of Calculators or Cell Phones or Log Tables or any Electronic Gadgets is strictly prohibited inside the hall.
- Carry a valid Photo ID Proof such as Driving License, PAN Card, Aadhar Card etc. while appearing for the Exam.

The WB State Eligibility Test will consist of two papers. Both the papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held soon in two separate sessions as under:

- Paper-I shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions, each carrying 2 marks. The questions which will be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching, research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.
- Paper-II shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions, each carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate. All the questions of Paper – II will be compulsory, covering entire syllabi of earlier Paper II & Paper–III (including all electives, without options).
The candidate will have to mark the responses for questions of Paper – I & Paper – II on the OMR Sheet provided along with the test booklet.
- Type of Questions: Objective Type
- Marking Scheme: Each Question Carries 2 Marks.
- There is No Negative Marking for wrong answers.
- Aggregate Cut off Marks is 40% for UR & 35% for reserved categories.
