Interpreting Officer Posts Vacancy Details

Pay Scale of the Post: Pay Band 4A Rs.(15,600– 42,000) plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400/- with a special allowance of Rs. 300/- per month and other usual allowances as admissible under the Rule

Category of IO Posts

Educational Qualification

Category A

Graduate in any one of the three languages from any recognized University and should have fluency in the other two languages

Category B

Graduate in Hindi from any recognized University having adequate knowledge in Urdu and English

Category C

Graduate in Nepalese from any recognized University and should have fluency in the other two languages

Category D

Graduate in Olchiki or Santhali from any recognized University and should have fluency in other two languages

How to submit the Calcutta HC Interpreting Officer Application form?

Eligible candidates may submit neatly hand-written or typed applications on plain paper of legal size (8.5” x 14”), addressed to Registrar, Original Side, High Court, Calcutta, giving particulars as under:-

(1) Full name of the candidate (in capital letters),

(2) Father’s/Husband’s Name,

(3) Date of Birth,

(4) Actual age as on 01.01.2019,

(5) Address (Present and Permanent, along with PIN code) with Telephone/Mobile number,

(6) Educational Qualifications,

(7) Other Qualifications,

(8) Knowledge in operating Computer,

(9) Whether belongs to S.C. / S.T. / O.B.C (A) / O.B.C. (B) /;

(10)Whether belongs to the Exempted category, if yes, mention the Identity Card Number and date issued from Labour Deptt. Govt. of West Bengal

(11) In case of S.C./ S.T./ O.B.C (A)/O.B.C (B), mention certificate number and date;

(12) Nationality and

(13) Details of depositing application fees.

Full signature of candidate with date must be given at bottom of the application.

Applications must be submitted in a sealed envelope mentioning therein the category and the post applied for on the top left corner, which shall have to reach within 4:30 p.m. on or before 21st June 2019 to –

Essential Supporting documents are:-

  1. Two recent and identical colored passport size photographs duly signed by the candidate on the front portion of both (one to be pasted on top right corner of the application and the other to be stitched/stapled with the application);

  2. One self-addressed (with pin code) envelope of the size of 25 cm x 11 cm with postal stamp of Rs. 42/- affixed thereon.

  3. Photocopy of self-attested documents in support of date of birth, educational qualifications, knowledge in operating Computer, caste certificate, if applicable, and Identity Card issued from the Labour Deptt. Govt. of West Bengal (Employment Exchange Card) and

  4. ORIGINAL of bank challan showing a deposit of examination fees to be enclosed with the application

Calcutta High Court Interpreting Officer Application Fee Details

Examination fees for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates for West Bengal, shall be Rs. 100/- and for rest categories of candidates, examination fees shall be Rs. 300/-. Examination fees shall be paid through bank challan payable at UBI, in favor of Registrar, Original Side, High Court, Calcutta, A/C no.0091010372343, High Court, Branch.
