KGC Merit List 2023: Krishnagar Government College established in 1846 is the oldest college in Nadia district. Currently, the College offers undergraduate courses in arts and sciences and also some of the postgraduate courses. Since its formation, the college was under the affiliation of the University of Calcutta. But from 1999 onwards, it is affiliated to University of Kalyani (KU). The College is NAAC A-Grade Certified and it is a College with Potential for Excellence ( 2010-13 ).

Students belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes need to have passed in the Higher Secondary examinations. Percentage of seats will be reserved in accordance with the Government regulations for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / OBC-A / OBC-B and Physically Handicapped categories.
Students who have passed their Higher Secondary or its equivalent examinations earlier than the current year 2023 will have 2% of their aggregate marks deducted. While applications from students who have passed the HS / equivalent exam prior to 2020 will not be entertained.
How to apply online for Krishnagar Govt College UG Online Admission ?
Applications are to be accepted only through the online procedure. While filling up the online form, applicants have to provide an email address and mobile number (active) in the application form. Personal email ID and mobile number (active) of the applicant are mandatory for submission of application. Further, candidates should submit separate application forms for Honours and General streams and for Honours subject the applicant may apply for maximum three alternative Honours subject in one form.

KGC Merit List 2023 Download @ krishnagargovtcollege.org
Merit list of Krishnagar Govt College will be prepared uniformly on the basis of the following criteria:
- In the case of Honours courses: Aggregate plus the marks obtained in the subject in which he/she intends to take up honours or a related subject.
- In the case of General courses: Merit list will be prepared on the basis of aggregate.
Marks Aggregate in H.S. or Equivalent Exam: The numbers of the Best 5 (FIVE) Subjects are to be considered as Aggregate Marks and the percentage is to be calculated out of 500.
Krishnagar Govt College Provisional Merit List will be displayed on the College Website on the specified date. If there is any mistake, the applicant should bring to the notice of the College Authority with necessary attachments within specified time-limit through email at [email protected]. Any application towards the correction of mistakes will not be entertained after the specified time. Also, candidates whose names appeared in the merit list at different phases of admission if not responded within the stipulated time will lose their candidature automatically.
