Admission Process @ Mekliganj College
Following the Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University (CBPBU) guidelines, Mekliganj College has introduced the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), for the undergraduate course of studies. The Undergraduate Course of study is a three-year course of study divided into six semesters. Each semester is of six months duration. In each academic year, there will be two semesters; one is from July to December and the other is from January to June.

Eligibility for applying in Honours Course
Students having passed H.S or equivalent examination (in 2020 and onwards) are eligible to apply in Honours Course. Students having passed from a vocational stream are not eligible to apply for Honours course. But as per the Mekliganj College Admission Rules, there is a minimum percentage of marks which the candidates should score to apply for the Honors Course. These details are as follows –
Marks requirement for applying in Honours
| For General Candidates | 55% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination, Or 50% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in the subject opted for Honours |
| For SC/ST Candidates | 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination Or 45% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in the subject opted for Honours |
Note: Candidates intending to apply in Geography Honours must have Geography in the qualifying examination.
