Eligibility Details of West Bengal GDS Posts
West Bengal Gramin Dak Sevak recruitment has the following candidates as per the declared notification. Eligible candidates should satisfy the eligibility conditions for the post. The eligibility required for GDS Post is discussed in detail below-
Age Limit for GDS Posts
The eligible age limit of the applicant should be between 18 and 40 years as on 20/07/2021. .However, the upper age limit shall be relaxed for reserved categories of applicants as follows=
- 5 years for SC/ST Candidates
- 3 Years for OBC Candidates
- 10 Years for PH Categories of applicants
Educational Qualification for WB GDS Posts
The minimum educational qualification to apply for this vacancy is matriculation. Higher qualified candidates can also apply but no weightage shall be given for higher qualification. Computer Knowledge certificate of 60 days course shall also be required to be submitted on selection.

Candidates who have applied online to the earlier advertisement in West Bengal Postal Circle shall have to apply again with the old registration number. Those applicants are not required to deposit the application fee and can apply afresh with the old Registration details. Fresh Candidates are required to apply online through the official website of Indian Post link of which is given at the end. The application fee as declared in the notification is as under-

- OC/OBC Male candidates shall have to Pay Rs 100/- as application fee.
- Female, SC/ST and PH Candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

How to Apply for West Bengal GDS Vacancy 2021
Eligible candidates should apply through the official link or they can apply through the link given below to submit the application. On the official Page, candidates should first register their information, after which they will be used the Registration ID and Password. After the generation of Registration ID and Password, the Application fee (if applicable) are to be submitted in Post Office. After the Fees Payment confirmation proceeds to apply online. On the apply online page, you shall have to fill up the entire mandatory details including fees payment information and upload the images as per the requirements.
Finally, submit the Application and take a print out for reference. Candidates applied to the earlier vacancy announcement should skip the Registration Part and should apply with the registration number of the previously submitted application.
